This carving is notable for its naivete of execution. Shiva, riding the bull Nandi, is holding a trident, with Uma (looking rather like a sock-puppet) draped in his lap. Other humans and animals fill the scene. Below, garlands issue from the mouths of animals whose rear legs are held by a kala, as at Phnom Rung.
