Use

This template creates a floating box linking to a designated Notice Board.

The syntax for this template is:

{{WPbox|name|target|image=|height=|size=|link=|alt=|label=|align=|boxsize=|margin=|left=}}

where:

• name is the notice board name
  • name=Directory (default)
• target is the notice board location
  • name=Wikipedia:Regional notice boards (default)
• image= an optional file name parameter of the image to display
  • The default image file names are stored in the Template:Portal/Images files.
  • Placing the 11 characters {{!}}border at the end of the image file name will display a one pixel border around the image.
• height= an optional integer parameter representing the maximum height of the image in pixels.
  • height=26 (default with image border)
  • height=28 (default without image border)
• size= an optional integer parameter representing the maximum width of the image in pixels.
  • The width defaults to the height times the image aspect ratio.
• link= an optional link target for the image.
  • The image link defaults to the image file.
• alt= an optional alternate text for the image
  • The alternate text is available to visually impaired readers.
• label= an optional link label.
  • The link label defaults to name<br/>notice board.
• align= an optional link label alignment parameter.
  • align=left
  • align=center (default)
  • align=right
• boxsize= an optional integer representing the width of the link box in pixels.
  • The default boxsize is the minimum width to accommodate the image and text.
  • boxsize=200 (maximum boxsize)
• margin= an optional margin around the box. The margins can be customized using |margin=top right bottom left (e.g., |margin=0.25em 0 0.25em 0.25em) or removed using |margin=0.
• left= an optional parameter to float the link box to the left instead of the right.
  • left=no (default)
  • left=yes

Restriction

This template may only be placed on pages with a prefix such as Category:, Template:, Wikipedia:, or User:. This template should not be placed in the main article namespace {{NS:0}}.
