តិថី
ក្នុង ការកំណត់ពេលវេលា វេទ តិថី ជា "រយៈពេលនៃមុខពីរនៃព្រះច័ន្ទដែលត្រូវបានគេសង្កេតឃើញពីផែនដី" ដែលគេស្គាល់ថាជា មិលាល្យ នៅ នេប៉ាល់ Bhasa, [១] ឬពេលវេលាដែលវាត្រូវការសម្រាប់ មុំ បណ្តោយ រវាង ព្រះច័ន្ទ និង ព្រះអាទិត្យ កើនឡើង 12 ° ។ ម៉្យាងទៀត ទិត្យ គឺជារយៈពេលរវាងសម័យជាប់ៗគ្នា ដែលត្រូវនឹងពេលដែលមុំបណ្តោយរវាងព្រះអាទិត្យ និងព្រះច័ន្ទ ជាពហុគុណចំនួនគត់នៃ 12°។ តិថី ចាប់ផ្តើមនៅពេលវេលាខុសៗគ្នានៃថ្ងៃ ហើយប្រែប្រួលក្នុងរយៈពេលប្រហែលពី 19 ទៅ 26 ម៉ោង ។ [២] រៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃនៃ ខែតាមច័ន្ទគតិ ត្រូវបានគេហៅថាតិថី។
ផាន់ឆាងា
[កែប្រែ]មុហុត៌ ហិណ្ឌូ (រយៈពេលសែសិបប្រាំបីនាទី) អាចត្រូវបានតំណាងនៅក្នុងលក្ខណៈប្រាំនៃតារាវិទ្យាហិណ្ឌូគឺ វារ ក្នុងមួយសប្តាហ៍, តិថី, នក្សត្រ ផ្កាយព្រះច័ន្ទ, យោគ ទំនាក់ទំនងជ្រុងរវាងព្រះអាទិត្យនិងព្រះច័ន្ទនិងករនពាក់កណ្តាលនៃតិថី។ [៣]
តិថី ដើរតួនាទីយ៉ាងសំខាន់រួមជាមួយនឹង នក្សត្រ នៅក្នុងប្រចាំថ្ងៃរបស់ ហិណ្ឌូ ក៏ដូចជាសកម្មភាពពិសេសក្នុងការជ្រើសរើស មុហុត៌ ផងដែរ។ មាន មួយភាគក្នុងវិថី ដ៏វិសេស ព្រមទាំង តិថី ដែលមិនល្អ ដែលនីមួយៗចាត់ទុកថាមានប្រយោជន៍ច្រើនក្នុងគោលបំណងមួយចំនួនជាជាងប្រយោជន៍ផ្សេងទៀត។ [៤]
