[កែប្រែ]Cần Thơ ជាទីក្រុងមួយ ឋិតនៅ ក្នុងតំបន់វាលទំនាបនៃដងទន្លេមេគង្គ មានទីតាំងលាតសន្ធឹង ខាងស្តាំ មាត់ទនេ្លបាសាក់ (យួន:Sông Hậu) ចម្ងាយ ពីទីក្រុងព្រៃនគរ ប្រមាណ ១៦៩ គីឡូម៉ែត្រ ឆ្ពោះទៅទិស និរតី។ ទីក្រុងCần Thơ មានផ្ទៃដី ១.៣៨៩,៥៩ គីឡូ ម៉ែត្រការ៉េ។

- ខេត្តបារាជ (Long Xuyên)
- ខេត្តផ្សារដែក (Sa Đéc)
- ខេត្តព្រែកឬស្សី(Cần Thơ)
- ខេត្តឃ្លាំង (Sóc Trăng)
- ខេត្តពលលាវ (Bạc Liêu)
ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦ រដ្ឋាភិបាលសាធារណរដ្ឋសង្គមនិយម វៀតណាមបាន បូករួមខេត្តទាំងបីគឺ ខេត្តព្រែកឫស្សី (Phong Dinh) ខេត្តជឿងទៀង (Chương Thiện) និង ខេត្តឃ្លាំថ (Ba Xuyên) នៃសាធារណរដ្ឋវៀតណាម ទៅជា ហូវយ៉ាង (Hậu Giang)។
